Description
Not unlike many performers, 16-year-old Kristyn Murphy was introduced to an audience at a very young age. Her musical journey began in 1998, when at the age of 8, she took center stage and entered the world of solo performing for the first time. Now, almost eight years later, Kristyn bursts forth with a unique mixture of sounds that fans have compared to Julie Andrews, Josh Groban, Renata Scotto, and the big band sounds of Jimmy Dorsey, Hailing from a little town in Maine, USA this young soprano is taking full strides with the release of her debut album To the Glory of God.
Recorded in a family owned studio in 2005, when she was fifteen, To the Glory of God serves as a portfolio of Kristyn's developing musical ability and a memento for family, friends and other supporters. The album features a variety of sacred songs including the intense “In the End of the Sabbath”, and, the lighter, “You raise me up.” Not only does Kristyn’s album serve as a keepsake for those interested in the development of her talent, but it also presents the glorious message that God wants to be spread all over the world. Kristyn explains with great confidence that God has entrusted her with some very special gifts and she plans to continue to develop and use them to spread his message to people around the world.
