Description
Rex Harris presents these songs with passion, love, happiness and sorrow to unfurl the tapestry of our past and present American heritage. It all started in the rugged, desolate mountains of Tennessee, and North Carolina. From England and Scotland came the early settlers, bringing with them native ballads handed down from family to family for generations. When the AMERICAN COWBOY rode the range the tunes soon became as important as the reliable six-guns they wore on their hip. These country western songs have survived the test of time. They offer a fleeting glance of America in her early years.
Rex Harris grew up on a farm in Webster, New York where he was blessed with wide open spaces. Running wild and free he cut his teeth on the violin and met his love in the guitar. Rex made his mark on the music scene in L.A. as a popular studio musician and playing live venues. Longing for the wide open spaces again, Rex Harris moved to Sedona, Arizona where he established Sweet 16 Recording studio and record company (Upper Room Records)928-634-0220. Inspired by his experience in the high deserts of Arizona,USA. Rex gives tribute to music from the heart of our nation…the AMERICAN COWBOY. Enjoyable songs for all ages so
sing-a-long and pass the legacy to our children.
