Description
Through the late 80's and early 90's guitarist Sterling Koch was on the road with his band The Sterling Cooke Force opening for such arena-rock acts as Warrant, Cinderella, REO Speedwagon, Savoy Brown, Kix and others.
He released two albums with the band and three successful solo instrumental albums.
The instrumental albums garnered much attention from the press as well as major record labels.
He was featured in Guitar Player, Guitar World, Guitar (FPM) and Guitar 2001 magazines.
Currently Sterling is the guitarist and vocalist with The Victory In Heaven Blues Band.
This spring Sterling released his latest solo CD, "Jams," an instrumental, guitar-based project that combines the influences of blues, jazz, funk and rhythm and blues.
The album project was released as a side project to the V.I.H. Blues Band and was recorded during a two week vacation by the band.
The CD also features multi-instrumentalist Marvin Taylor (Atlanta Rhythm Section, Mose Jones and Sea Level) on bass and drums.
