Description
"Terry Plumeri's bowed bass work is endlessly compelling. Pair it with musicians the caliber of David Goldblatt (piano) and the great Joe La Barbera (drums) on a choice selection of standards and the effect is stunning."

"Blue In Green is an album bubbling with creativity, interactivity, magnificent improvisations, and the combined experience, sensitivity, and desire of three consummate musicians performing eight essential pieces from the jazz and standard repertoire."
-Jazz Improv Magazine-
Terry Plumeri's Blue in Green is something brand new in the world of recorded jazz. The entire CD showcases the exclusive use of the bowed acoustic bass, occupying the featured role in a repertoire of jazz standards. The extraordinary beauty of tone and technical proficiency shown on the bass, makes for a new and memorable listening experience.
David Goldblatt contributes an unusually warm and spacious harmonic environment for the trio. The landscape created on Blue In Green leaves one feeling as though they have not only extended the dark moody flavors of Miles Davis' Kind Of Blue recording, but have revisited that room from a newly discovered doorway.
Joe LaBarbera of The Bill Evans Trio fame, provides one of his finest recordings in recent years. In addition to his relentless sensitivity and tasteful contribution to the moment-to-moment growth of the music, there are three beautifully constructed drum solos. His solo on Beautiful Love is a rare treat of brush activated drum and cymbal colors.
"The performances and solo improvisations on the parts of Terry Plumeri on bass, David Goldblatt on piano and Joe LaBarbera on drums are outstanding."
