Description
lesliwood: it's not only a woman, it's a band.
Headed by singer/songwriter/guitarist, Lesli Wood (aka Roxy), along with bassist, Matt Menovcik (aka Clark) and drummer, Andrew Squire (aka Randolph), their music and live performances are energetic, passionate, and intense. Their music contains equal parts crunchy power-pop, punk rock energy, and singer/songwriter intimacy.
Their first CD, "That Night", released in 1999 on Mog Records, drew critical acclaim and radio play with its intoxicating melodies.
"Ms. Led" continues to offer emotional snapshots of life with musical hooks and Wood's powerful vocal style. Songs including the title track, "Ms. Led", "A Million Reasons Why" and "A Little Reassurance" deliver the energy and raw emotion lesliwood's audience has come to expect. "Move Slowly" and "Come To Me" highlight grinding organ sounds, intensifying the aggression and passion of lesliwood's music.
Through their music, lesliwood examine what it is to be human, to make mistakes, feel love and anger and live passionately.
