REVIEW:
Classy
I had wandered down to the hotel lobby late that night, expecting solitude and silence. As I reached the bottom of the stairs, the first strains of wonderful piano touched my ears. At first I wasn't sure it was real, but then it began to take shape, and i was enthralled by the beauty of the music issuing across the marble floor. Who was playing? I couldn't see whose deft hands struck the keys from where I stood, but it did not matter. The slow and emotional music didn't need words, the lifting melody carrying me up as I stood off to the side, just listening. There was a meloncholy touch to the piece, and yet a warm hope that made me yearn for the morning light to come. As the song came to a close, I stood, entranced, for a few moments more. When I recovered, and opened my eyes, I walked quickly around the corner, but the artist had left, and all that remained was a rose on the side of the bench.
