Description
Raise the Shield is a big fucking middle finger shot in right in the face of all the haters of the world. You know who they are, your boss, your coworkers, your lame ass friends, that loser roommate, those idiots who look at you funny on the street, anyone who gives you shit you don’t need to deal with. No excuses, no compromises. Raise The Shield is angry, aggressive, in your face, and looking to kick some ass. Harder, faster and heavier than ever before, Release Yourself is a testament to all the people who need something to crank up and devastate mediocrity.
With two releases already within the past six months, Raise The Shield has returned yet again with a fresh slab of heavy metal ripped straight out of the 80s and injected with modern attitude. Release Yourself comes straight out of the mind of Dave Cardwell, the only member, singer, songwriter and guitarist. Think Metallica, Megadeth, Accept, Strapping Young Lad and Racer X. Big riffs, bigger solos.
The new CD shows more depth than before, with clean guitars and more longer, more epic tracks. Add bigger, more powerful production and performances, and you’ve got just the right sounds to bang your head to!
Raise The Shield is based in Indianapolis, Indiana - an unlikely place for this brand of metal to be born. The album was written and recorded over a period of just two months.
