Description
Dance With Gravity, Stand Up Eight's debut album, was recorded and released in 1997 when the band were still students at Dartmouth College in Hanover, NH, shaking booties every weekend at Dartmouth's many fraternities and sororities while beginning to venture farther afield to Boston, Burlington, and other New England hotspots. Dance With Gravity was voted Album of the Year in New Hampshire's Jam Music Magazine, while also earning the band honors for Song of the Year ("Make It Real") and Best New Band. The band toured for two years on the strength of this album while honing their skills and writing new material for their follow-up album, Facing the Fall, which was released in 2000 to similar acclaim.
