Description
All hail the great Link Wray. The Buckrabbits are the dynamic duo of guitarist Jamie Hamilton and drummer Glenn Grant. The band has been recording and gigging for the past year pumping out rockabilly fueled instrumental guitar music. Their influences range from legendary guitarists Link Wray and Duane Eddy to punk legends the Clash and the Ramones.
Jamie hails from the rock and roll Mecca of Owensboro Ky. While Glenn comes their home base of Montgomery Al.
Jamie and Glenn have known each other for 20 plus years and gigged together in various incarnations. They have opened for roots rock legends like Webb Wilder, Alex Chilton, Dash Rip Rock, Walk the West, The Georgia Satellites and many others. Their sound is that of sixties surf music, wild untamed rockabilly and the sounds of vintage Hot Rod movies with a little hee-haw Schtick.
Songs from their “The Buckrabbits” EP have been some of the most requested at rockabillyradio.net and their “The Instrumental Hits” album has just been released.
