Description
"Three Olives" is the creation of producer/multi-instrumentalist Michael Christie. The album represents a new kind of lounge music that can best be described as "the future of the past". From the golden age of lounge music (the early 1960s), comes a classic backdrop of percolating percussion, lush strings, grainy organs and electric pianos, and the sultry rhythms of the bossa nova and the samba. And rushing in from the present are the techniques of modern music production, as well as splashes of the new rhythmic vocabularies that inform the current music climate.
