Description
Beginning with individual tutoring in classical piano between the ages of 5 and 17, Kourosh Dini has since continued honing his improvisational and composing skills in his own style. He has been strongly influenced by artists ranging from Tool to Boards of Canada to Chopin.
In recent years, he has taken a stronger interest in electronic and synthesizer accessible sound-scapes. He has gradually developed a unique style of play that involves jazz, pop, classical and ambient elements.
Musical avenues include live performances in Second Life as Kourosh Eusebio and sound-tracking of independent films.
Kourosh Dini is a practicing child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist working in the Chicago-land area. He feels music and art to be integral parts of the development of cognitive and emotional health.
Albums written and produced have included Ontogeny (2005), Fidelio (2003), The Color of Tea in Sunlight (1999), and The Beckoning of Agora (1998).
He has also been known to play with and study computers and games. Particularly of interest is the interface and intermingling between technology and humanity. Of further interest and topics of discussion are Meditation and Creativity.
