This CD was recorded live at the Copia Theater, in Napa, California, on January 11, 2007, and is a tight accoustical blend of Accordion, Vibes, Bass, Guitar, rich Vocals, and a guest Clarinet.
The group plays Classic Jazz with fire, zest, emotion, and enthusiasm reminiscnet of the Art Van Damnes, The Ernie Felices, The George Shearings, and the Leon Sashs. with the addition of the guest Clarinet (for some tunes), gives an additional flavor of Memphis and New Orleans Jazz.
The Group features Al Tarabini (Accordion), a San Francisco Bar Area product, a Night Club, Supper club, and radio / TV performer; Yancie Taylor (vibes), also a San Francisco Bay area product, a Jazz Club favorite, and a World Wide jazz performer / artist; Terry Hilliard (Bass), a San Francisco "Legend of Jazz", Bassist on Cal TJader's recordings of "Soul Sauce" and "Soul Bird", and listed with Verve Records, "The Very Best of Jazz"; Leigh Wyckoff (Guitar), a wine country product, and former "Serendipity Singers" member; Gloria Tarabini (Vocalist), a San Francisco Radio / TV personality, and former featured singer on NBC TV's "Your Show", and the Del Courtney TV Show, "Search for Songs"; plus guest clarinetist, Philip Grady Smith, who grew up playing the jazz clubs in the Memphis and New Orleans areas.
